offer non-elimination play over a half-day with fun, no-pressure shortened
match format(s). Players can expect multiple matches regardless of results.
Ages range from 8-18 and are for entry-level players who want to try their hand
at tournament play!

Have you played in (2) L6 events? Ready to take the next
step and try a higher level? If you qualify – The NCTA will pay the entry fee
for your first NC L5 tournament in 2017! To be eligible a player must have
played in (2) NC L6 tournaments in 2017.

Notes
The draws for the junior singles have now been posted.
Girls 8s/10s and Boys 8s/10s were combined into one Co-ed 10s draw,
and will use orange ball and 60' court.
Girls 12s and 14s were combined into one Girls 14s draw, and will
use standard (yellow) ball and 78" court.
Boys 12s and 14s were combined into one Boys 14s draw, and will use
standard (yellow) ball and 78'court.
All draws are round-robin ... everyone plays everyone. Match format
will be one set to 6 games (win by 2) for Co-ed 10s and Girls 14s.
These player will play three matches. Match format for Boys 14s
will be one set to 8 games (win by 2), and these players will play
two matches.
The Eva Lane Memorial Tournament funds a scholarship made available
to a Currituck County High School student each year. The
scholarship is given in memory of Eva Lane, a 2000-2002 member of
the CCHS girls tennis team. In January 2004, Eva was killed by a
drunk driver on US 158 in southern Currituck County.
The tournament consists of a sanctioned L6 event for juniors under
14 years of age, and a non-sanctioned doubles event for high school
students and adults.
Entry forms for the adult doubles event, and sponsorship forms to
make a donation to the scholarship fund, are available at
www.curritucktennis.org.
Player Selection TypePlayers are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Wednesday, September 20, 2017 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
